3.5 cups of flour
1.5-2 teaspoons of olive oil
3 large eggs
1 tablespoon salt
about 250 g cheese
half of a bunch of parsley and dill still so
2 egg yolks
1 cup of milk

Preparation of Burek:

Sift the entire amount of flour.

Add eggs (both yolks save for later), 2 teaspoons of olive oil and hot water (as necessary). Knead the dough.

Divide the dough into balls as big as an orange, cover them and let it sit for about 30 minutes.

Roll out each ball – note that the pastry leaf must be thin.

Grate the cheese and mix it with finely chopped parsley and dill.

In a bowl mix olive oil (3 tablespoons), egg yolks (2 pieces) and milk (1 cup).

Brush each crust with milk mixture, and top with a sprinkle of cheese.

Wrap the rind as “cigarette”.

Proceed in the same way with other pastry leaves. Wrap received ‘cigarettes’ as roses and place in greased pan.

Brush them with 1 egg yolk. Bake in a preheated oven.
