King’s Chicken Liver Pie
Chicken liver – 500 g
Onions – 500 g
Carrot – 500 g
Semolina – 1/2 cup.
Milk – 1/2 cup.
Mayonnaise – 300g
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
Salt, ground black pepper – to taste.
Mince the liver , mix with semolina and milk, place in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Cut onions into half rings and grate carrots, add a small amount of oil.
Grease a dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Put half of the onions and carrots, salt and pepper.
On top of the vegetables put half of the liver, salt and pepper, spread with mayonnaise.
Again lay the vegetables, on top the rest of the liver.
Season with salt and pepper, brush with mayonnaise. Bake in preheated oven at 180 C for about an hour. Garnish with a sprig of basil.
