Roasted Chicken In A Jar

An easy and interesting way to cook chicken.

Ingredients:

chicken (1.2-2 kg)
1 large onion
salt to taste
sweet pepper and black
Bay leaf
1 tomato
1 bell pepper
1 three-liter jar
canning tin cover

Preparation:

Chop chicken and vegetables .

Puts the meat and vegetables with spices in a jar layers, layer meat, salt it, a little pepper, bay leaf, on a layer of a mixture of vegetables and so on.

If chicken is weighty, the jar will almost complete.

No liquid in a jar should be added! And it is necessary to cover the jar whit a thin tin lid without rubber and put the jar in a cold (!!!) on the bottom shelf of the oven (not at the bottom of the oven, on the grill and enameled pan or frying).

So, put a jar with chicken in the oven, then warm up the oven to 180 C degrees and forget about it for 1.5 hours.

The result: a gentle, fragrant chicken with tasty vegetables. Believe me!

NB: Generally, such a chicken in the pot – a space for creativity. If the chicken is large, 2 kg or so, a lot of vegetables in a jar did not fit. If the chicken is less, it makes sense to take more vegetables. You can experiment with any vegetables, and add coarsely chopped cabbage, potatoes, slices of lemon or orange (not with potatoes!), raisins and prunes and other. Experimenting with ingredients you will find your unique recipe.
