Pear Pie


120 g butter or ¾ cup oil/optional/
150 g sugar powder
5tbsp sugar powder
150 g flour
100 g milk or water/optional/
1 baking powder


1.Beat the soft butter with the sugar.
2.Divide the yolks from the whites. Add the yolks one by one to the butter and the sugar.
3.Add the milk. It shouldn’t be cold, just lukewarm.
4.Add the baking powder to the flour and mix well. Then add to the other ingredients. Stir well.
5.Pour the pie mixture onto a greased dish. Use a medium sized one.
6.Bake the pie at 180 C until golden.
7.Cover the baked pie with thin slices of pear.
8.Whisk the whites with 5 tbsp of sugar powder very well and pour upon the pear slices to cover all the surface.
9.Baked at 180 C for 10-15 min until it’s ready.
