Latvian Herring Salad
1 large beetroot or 2-3 small ones
3 boiled potatoes
3 eggs boiled
3 pieces of herring
Boil you potatoes, eggs and beetroot until soft
Peel everything and grate your beetroot and potatoes.
Cut herring and eggs into small pieces.
Layer the salad, first do potatoes, then herring, then mayonnaise, then beetroot and eggs.
Repeat the same process in that order until you build your salad.
The last layer should be beetroot.
Decorate the salad with some crushed egg, dills, greens and a bit of mayonnaise
