Chicken With Citrus Fruit

A very appetizing and exotic dish.


4-5 chicken steaks of white meat
1 orange
1 lemon
50 ml of dark rum
1 tsp. of dry oregano
3-4 cloves of garlic
pinch of salt

For garnish:

1/2 of a celery head
4-5 potatoes
1 carrot
2 onions
½ tsp of salt
1/3 bunch of fresh dill


Chicken steaks are loaded into a tray.

The orange is peeled and cut into two.

Fresh juice is poured from each half on the steaks.

Add the rum to the meat, a pinch of salt, crushed dry oregano, a clove of garlic sliced very finely and 100 ml of water.

Cover the tray with household foil.

Steaks are left for 5-6 hours.

The foil is then removed and 50 ml of oil is added.

Cover the pan with aluminum foil, then place the meat on the oven for 200 C degrees.

Roast for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and return for roasting for another 10-15 minutes.

Be careful not to over burn.

The garnish is prepared in a deep pan.

Celery, potatoes and carrots are peeled and cut.

Onion is peeled, washed and cut into slices.

Place the pan on a hot plate.

Pour the oil and put the onion to reheat for 2-3 minutes.

Then add the remaining vegetables.

Sprinkle 1 / tsp of salt and pour 150ml of water.

Stir carefully with a wooden spoon.

The dish is covered and allowed to bake to a 2 degree on a hot plate for about 20 minutes.

When ready, remove from the heat and sprinkle with finely chopped dill.
