Okonomiyaki: Japanese Pancake
12 pieces of sliced bacon
1 1/3 cups of water
3 cups of flour
1 tsp salt
1 head of cabbage
2 tablespoons of ground ginger
¼ cup tonkantsu sauce or barbecue sauce
Fry the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until slightly crispy.
In a large bowl, combine the water and eggs.
Gradually stir flour and salt until you get a smooth mixture.
Add the cabbage and ginger.
Heat the pan over medium heat.
Pour the dough in center of pan.
Place 4 slices of bacon in the center.
Shape into round pancake with a spatula.
Saute 5 minutes.
Finally pour the sauce.
