Moringa is the Indian superfood you’ve probably never heard of .
Meet Moringa, the newest “miracle” superfood taking the health world by storm. Moringa is a tree that grows in the foothills of the Himalayas in India. They get up to 15 meters tall, and locals harvest the tree’s leaves and fruits to utilize as a superfood. Pretty much every part of the tree has some nutritional value.
Using the tree for its healing powers dates back more than 1,000 years, but was ‘rediscovered’ by westerners in the 1940’s. Studies have been conducted into its purported ability to fight some 300 diseases have shown impressive, but further scientific research is needed.
This tree is said to be able to improve immunity, cardiovascular health, regulate healthy blood sugar levels, has anti-inflammatory compounds and is packed with antioxidants that help prevent various cancers. It also contains:

Web MD considers Moringa “possible safe” when taken by mouth and used appropriately. They don’t encourage women who are pregnant or breastfeeding take it as a supplement. There is no data about Moringa interacting with other medications.
